It is in the same place as on the regular key board, to the right of the "/" key and under the Enter key.
It is the key marked with an up arrow on the second line of keys from the front edge of the keyboard. (there are two of them, one either side of the keyboard).
It's just for convenience, I believe. Because when you are typing, each hand is close to the shift key.

The key combination [Shift]+2 should do for standard keyboards to type the "at" (@) sign.

On the most common keyboards (qwerty) an underscore is created by pressing the shift button in combination with the "-" (minus) key. Example of underscore: _
shift 2 = @
As with any other operating system, you would type an underscore by pressing the key on your keyboard with that character. On most keyboards, you can type an underscore (_) by pressing Shift and the hyphen key.
Shift + 2 on some other keyboards than US you can try: right Alt + 2 right Alt + V
tilde is the button for console looks like: ~ located under escape key. hit: shift + (button under esc.) Some keyboards have the tilde above the right shift button. However the console button is still the one under the escape key.
Hold shift and press the letter you want. Use the 'shift buttons'. On most keyboards there are two, one at either end. They are normally an arrow pointing upwards. Simply hold this key down whilst you press the required button.
Older style office keyboards and specific purpose keyboards have F13. Most general keyboards don't have it.
