if you don't own a chilton's manual, the easiest way to explain this is to look under the dash, just right of where the fuse panel is you should see 2 2 prong plugs.one is your blower fan relay, the other is your flasher(turn signal) relay.
The signal flasher and the 4-way flasher are both located behind the plastic lower dash panel, aprox above the trans hump in floor. The plastic lower dash panel must be removed to gain access to the flashers.
The starter on a 2001 Pontiac Trans Am is located on the driver's side of the motor. It is down low towards the back of the motor.
change the flasher
check for a burnt out bulb and if all the bulbs light it's possible you need a new turn signal flasher.
There are two...one that sends a signal to the gauge and one that sends a signal to the computer.

Pontiac Trans Sport was created in 1990.
The trans filter is located inside the trans. You have to remove the pan from the bottom of the trans. You should be able to see it when the pan has been removed.
It should be behind the lower dash panel above the trans hump in floor. You need to remove that lower dash panel to gain access to it. Both signal and 4-way flashers are there.
Not very likely, as there is no such thing as a 2005 Pontiac Trans Am.

the car has 2 flashers one for turn signals located under the dash in a clip to the left of the steering column to replace unplug and pull out. The other is for hazard lights which is located in the convenience center (that is closer to the center of the car). It is replaced in the same manner as the previous one.
its in the fuse box located under the hood, driver side.
Try under the dash near the glove box.
