It is on the transmission case, where the passenger side axle shaft is inserted.
The only speed sensor on the engine is inside the distributor.
Speed sensors are not user serviceable parts. The sensor needs to be replaced, and is usually either screwed in or bolted on making the replacement easy.
On a 1992 Chrysler LeBaron, the speed sensor is typically located on the transmission. Specifically, it can be found on the transmission case, near the output shaft. To access it, you may need to raise the vehicle and possibly remove any obstructions, such as the air intake duct, to reach the sensor. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for precise location and replacement instructions.

the only thing i could think of is a bad speed sensor, but that's only if its the odometor and speedometor. if its everything, then theres a bad commection or possibly a fuse.

Could be a speed sensor or shift solenoid. Its probably electrical related rather that transmission related. Had the same problem with my 92 Grand Caravan. Speed Sensor fixed the problem.
Most likely it's the speed sensor. The signals cancel on distance, so if the speed sensor is inoperative the module can't read the distance traveled.
