on either the top or the side of the transmission, if you find out other wise let us know I'm also installing a new speed sensor on my 2000 Dodge, and according to auto zone that is where it is....
The speedometer sensor on a 1997 and before is on the tail shaft of the trans/transfer case. On 1998 and later the speedometer signal comes from the abs sensor on top of the rear axle.
