on the transmission tailshaft housing

Hey, I got a 91' firebird 305 tbi that had the same exact problem...it's your speed sensor or O2 sensor....(or both)
I have a 91 s10 and it has a speed sensor. It is located at the rear of the tranny on the drivers side
where is cam senor on a 91 cutlass ciera 3300
In a 1991 Subaru Legacy, the speed sensors can be found on the driver's side of the transmission. They are located towards the rear, and there are three of them.
they dont have a cable !! its driven by a speed sensor
it should be right above your coil Its connected into the coil but mine was actually mounted on the passenger side firewall. its the only wire with a small harness.
i have a 1996 Mazda protege and it is at the rear of the transmission if you're looking from the front drivers side. it is almost directly under the throttle position sensor which is located on the rear of your throttle body close to the firewall (almost directly in the center of the engine compartment).
Any size SBC engine will fit and is compatible with a 91 Firebird. A 350 engine is the most common that is used for installing in a 91 Firebird.
The VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) moniters the speed of the vehicle.
