On top of your rear axle (pumpkin) just above the drive shaft yolk it has two wires sticking out of it.
Store under the drain pan of the transmission.

On the door jam sticker of my 1997 Ford F250 with 7.3 Powerstroke diesel the transmission code is "E". I have the E4OD automatic.
Probably as close to the cab as you can. Or for simplicity, get a TomTom. Too many things could go wrong if something's not hooked up right. And it would likely void the warranty.
I don't know what average miles per hour is, but max speed for the 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel is around 105 miles per hour. And if you meant to type miles per gallon (mpg), the combined average of a 7.3L Powerstroke is from 17mpg to 19mpg.

most of them top out at 95mph but with chips with the speen limiter turned off have seen 133mph I do not recomend driving one that fast because of the tires.
The sensor in the rear differential is the differential speed sensor. It serves the function of as vehicle speed sensor and as wheel speed sensor for rear wheels for ABS. The speedometer cable is on the driver's side rear of the transmission.
It is probably the clock spring in the steering wheel
