A 1994 Plymouth Sundance/Duster does not use a speedometer cable. Instead, it uses a Speed Sensor located on the transmission.
It doesn't have a crank sensor. It only has a distributor pick up plate (cam sensor).
I have a 1992 acclaim, the speed sensor is located on the right hand (passenger) axle. Look on the back side of the axle, about 6 " down from the transmission, you see a lump on the housing, with 2 or3 wires leaving the top.
No crank sensor. Only has the distributor pick up plate.
It is located on the backside of the engine/transmssion assembly against the firewall. It is screwed into the diff houing and is easier to get to from beneath the car.
On the 1993 Sentra the speedometer sensor is located on the top of the transmission on the drivers side near the firewall. I have the same problem and would like to replace the sensor but cannot seem to get it out. Do you know how to remove? acpbcc@aol.com Art Plymouth, MA
It is screwed into the exhaust behind the engine.
The speed sensor is located in the speedometer assembly, at the back of where the speedometer needle connects.
The sensor is between the cab and engine. its in the back of the engine not the front like many other vechiles.
The cam position sensor is inside the distributor, under the cap and rotor. There isn't a crank sensor.
