auto zone has wiring diagrams for this car. You have to join (free), plug in your vehicle year/model and then go to maintenance manual/wiring diagrams. It takes a while to filter thru but it has SRS 2003, 2004, 2005 and you can track the wires to each one (each seat belt, each airbag). Of course each one might have a different problem (I have read about clock type springs on the seats, dirty sensors, light on after radio or driver seats change).
Good luck
I had a 96 Grand Am and the SRS swith was located underneath the front passenger seat.
Working on the SRS can be very hazardous. For this reason I suggest you have this repaired by a professional.
It means there is a problem with the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) or Air Bags. This is a repair for a professional.
seat belt sensor needs to be replaced
There is an issue with the SRS system. It could be anything from a faulty sensor to a missing airbag module. You need to have a qualified service center that is trained in troubleshooting and repairing SRS systems diagnose the problem for you.
Have the problem that triggered the light repaired by a professional. He will reset the light. Not a DIY repair.
SRS sensor lights have a warranty extention. There is a factory problem with the SRS light coming on. Call your dealer. Your car has to have under 150,000 miles on it.
There is no reset for the SRS sensors. Take this vehicle to a professional for repair. Working on the SRS is not a DIY repair. Serious injury can occur when dealing with the SRS.
The light won't reset until repairs have been made with the srs system.
There is a sensor in the belt buckle assembly that communicates with the SRS system. If that sensor goes bad it trips the SRS light. If this light is illuminated while driving it is safe to assume that your airbags will NOT deploy if you were to get into an accident. Be careful!
If the buzzer goes on whenever the key is in and buzzes continuously, it may be the airbag system (SRS) or an electrical problem in the SRS sensor.
