Pretty sure it is on the passenger side bottom, mounted to the bellhousing. When you need to find the started 2 easy ways on fords are to 1. Follow the big red wire from the solenoid on the drivers side fender down and it will lead you to the starter. 2. On any vehicle, look around the bellhouing where it mounts up to the engine, it is always mounted somewhere on the bellhousing as the starter engages into the flywheel to start the vehicle. If you look at the bottom and top of the bellhousing on both the drivers and passengers side of the engine you are sure to find it. Now, depending on the way the engine is mounted in the vehicle, (either it runs side to side, and the transmission will be on the drivers side of the engine, or it is mounted front to back and the transmission will be mounted in the rear) the starter could be at the top or the bottom. On the rangers, usually on the bottom. On 91 and 94 the starter is on the bottom, passenger side.
On the drivers side on the bottom of the engine, it has a red wire going into it.
