The starter on a '93 tercel, if you are looking from underneath the car, is directly to the left of the alternator. It is a fairly simple job to remove and replace the starter. If I can recall correctly the only thing that you need to remove is the intake support braket, but don't quote me on that.

a 93 tercel which most likey has a the stock 3e-e engine doesnt have an egr system.
If its like the 93 tercel, you open hood, and its tucked in the back right corner.
More than likely, the stop pad has fallen or broken off.

The starter solenoid is attached to the starter. When you replace the starter, you'll get a new solenoid.

the transmission depends on the model you have but they ionly made one engine for the tercel its a 5 manual 4 manual or auto mostly 4 speed manuals some have 5 and you can swap a 5 from a paseolook me up on you tube THA REAPER 94 tercel
