The starter is located under the vehicle - towards the middle of the vehicle, about as far back as the front tires. It's bolted up behind the exhaust. Fun job! Its actually pretty easy to get at. It is actually on the passenger side of the bellhousing. I belive you will need a small extension with a deep walled i believe it was a 15mm socket (not 100%, i kno its close to that size) and there are two bolts holding it on, along with the wiring on top.
