I am sorry but I have never heard of a "Strider" on an automobile.
I am North American and I know in many perts of the world there are difrent names for items.

According to one of Fords websites : For a 1994 Mercury Villager , 3.0 liter V6 : The radiator cap is ( 13 PSI )
On the radiator.
According to one of Fords websites : The 1998 Mercury Villager uses the ( Motorcraft RS-519 radiator cap ) It is a ( 13 PSI cap )
It is located near the right shock tower - the cap should be marked with an "L".
It is the round black think with the six spark plug wires attached at the front (passenger side) of the engine.
There is no "chip" that can be replaced in the distributor, it is serviced as a unit. There is no chip in the distributor cap.
On a 2001 Mercury Sable : The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir ( located in your engine compartment , on the passenger side of the engine compartment ) is the pressure cap / radiator cap
Engine oil goes in the oil cap which is right on the front of the engine and has a picture of an oil can on it.
Take the distributor cap off and turn the engine. If the rotor turns it's not "stuck".
Follow the plug wires and they will go to the distributor cap.
