The entire shifter assembly is located underneath of the shifter stalk between the driver and passenger seats. To access, remove the rubber tray that is at the junction of the vertical and horizontal trim (just underneath the AirCon controls) and remove those phillips-head screws. Next, pull the vertical trim off starting at the top. Be careful to apply even firm pressure to prevent the trim from cracking. Depending on what options you have on the car, there may be a couple of wire bundles that will need to be disconnected - they're fairly simple to do. Once the center trim is out, remove the screws holding the bottom plastic, and go into the center console and remove the screws at the bottom of it. From there everything should be able to be separated. Once the center trim and center console are out, the shifter assembly is left on the floor. Be careful doing anyhing else, as all of the cables are set to a precise length to allow for proper transmission operations.
