Under hood, passenger side, upper engine area, engine end of upper radiator hose, mounted in coolant outlet housing
the thermostat is located under the thermostat housing on the front of the motor where the top rad hose connects to.
It is in the housing at the engine end of the upper rad hose. When replacing it make sure the spring on the thermostat is toward the engine.
The Ford puma thermostat housing is on the side of the engine, with two hoses connected to it. Be sure to replace the gasket when installing the housing.
whether you have the 2.0 or 2.5, the location is almost the same. At the top of the radiator, find the upper rad hose. Follow it back to where it connects to the engine. The metal housing that the hose is clamped to is the thermostat housing. Remove the two bolts from the cover and the thermostat is hiding inside.

If you have the v6 it is right behind the distributer. You will see a hose comming up from the bottom of the radiator on the drivers side, under the distributer where it hooks to a metal pipe. That pipe goes into your thermostat housing.
Remove the 2 bolts at the thermostat housing. The upper hose goes to the thermostat housing.
