ON MY 3.4L ENGINE IT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE RIGHT BELOW THE THROTTLE BODY BEHIND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. JUST FOLLOW THE LARGE HOSE THAT COMES FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE RADIATOR. IT WILL CONNECT TO THE FITTING THAT COVERS THE THERMOSTAT.
under the throttle body
2000 Pontiac grand am se keeps over heating I changed the water pump, the thermostat, radiator cap, head, and it is still over heating. make sure thermostat is going the right way , spring gose to the motor
you have to take off the throttle body and the air intake box to get at it its under there
Follow the upper raditor hose from the raditor to the motor, the raditor hose is connected to the thermostat housing, take the houseing off, the thermostat is under the housing.
Check coolant level check blower motor fuse Check the thermostat
It's on the back of the fuel tank,about center of the tank
i have a 1999 grand am se with a 3400 sfi and it's under air intake on the thermostat bellhousing hope this help you out. good luck
At the point where the upper radiator hose clamps to the engine is the thermostat housing. Inside is the thermostat.
IF ITS A QUAD 4 THE HOUSING IS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE VALVE COVER BY THE POWER STEERING BELT 2 BOLTS.

It is located in the gas tank....you have to remove the gas tank to access the pump and pick-up...
