it is located under the exaust manifold, at the top of the pipe that wraps around the oil pan and leads to bottom radiator hose, in other words if you follow the bottom radiator hose it leads to a steel pipe which is where the thermostat is located, just before it leads to water pump, this would be a bear to change with engine in car...youd most certainly have to remove exaust manifold

Are you sure that you don't have a Malibu instead? at the emd of the upper rad hose you will find the thermostat housing. Take the 2 bolts out and remove it. When reinstalling it make sure the spring on the thermostat goes toward the engine.
