it is located under the exaust manifold, at the top of the pipe that wraps around the oil pan and leads to bottom radiator hose, in other words if you follow the bottom radiator hose it leads to a steel pipe which is where the thermostat is located, just before it leads to water pump, this would be a bear to change with engine in car...youd most certainly have to remove exaust manifold
just follow the upper radiator hose to engine, and you will find it.
Should be in housing at engine end of upper radiator hose
The 2000-2005 Chevrolet Impala only came with a 3.4 and 3.8 V6 (6 cylinder) engines. Are you sure that you don't have a Malibu instead? at the emd of the upper rad hose you will find the thermostat housing. Take the 2 bolts out and remove it. When reinstalling it make sure the spring on the thermostat goes toward the engine.
if its a 3.1 v6 it is located at engine, end of top radiater hose!
follow upper radiater hose to engine block then you will find it. its behind exhaust manifold at engine, on 3.1.
follow top radiater hose to it,it is hard to access housing!!! for thermostat, the thermostat is at the end of the lower intake manifold on drivers side of engine.
The thermostat on a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am 2.4 liter 4 cylinder is located on the side of the engine. It can be found by following the upper radiator hose.
On the 4 cylinder engine it is located in the water neck where the hose from the radiator goes on the passenger side of the engine.
cylinder #5 is in right back of engine. 1-3-5 is in back, 2-4-6 is in front.
it is under the housing where the upper radiator hose hooks to the engine
yea
follow top radiator to end of hose, the thermostat is in the housing at end...
