There's a hose that goes to it on the top, driver's side of the engine. It's near the air filter.
I have a 93 buick skylark and i cant find the thermostat on the da*n thing.. can anyone explain to me on how to change it??? Follow the hose to the top of the engine where it ends. The thermostat is under the thing where the hose is attached. There are two bolts holding it down. Also, get a Chilton's or Haynes manual from Amazon. They have the procedure and the books are cheap.
where do the thermostat go in my 93 buick lesabre
It's near the back bumper cover, right behind the gas tank.
Generally, the lense has small tabs on it that can be gently pried out to get access to the bulbs.
You don't say which engine or year but see my post under "How do you change a serpentine belt on a 93 Buick Skylark" for a possible answer.
start by changing the thermostat
YES!! you can bypass the heater core. I just did this yesterday when my 93 Buick overheated because of a bad thermostat and broke the hose from the heater core. Follow the Big hose leading out from the right side of the radiator. It will lead to where the thermostat is then keep following along the hose that is connected to that and the hose will go behind the metal, inside of the car. Cut this hose right before it goes behind the metal and cut the one right next to it on the left and connect them together. That's it.
Follow the large top radiator hose down to it.
it sounds like a steady bearing on the drive train or pssibly your tourque converter is going bad
It is the transmission cooler hose or line. It runs the fluid through a cooler on the radiator to cool the transmission fluid.
Drain the radiator. Remove the top radiator hose and water inlet. Remove the thermostat from under the inlet. Install the new thermostat, reinstall the inlet and hose, and fill the system with new freon.
There is no relay...your turn signal /combo switch is bad...
