There are 2 and they are located on the intake manifold near the thermostat. The 1 with the single wire is for the gauge. The 2 wire is for the cooling fans and the computor. jd
Run a hot (12 Volt) wire straight to the motor with a jumper to the wire that allows up. Be careful as you can get hurt doing this.
look for a blown fuse or a wire unplugged under the seat.
At the rear of the engine where the engine and transmission meet at the flywheel..try following the positive battery wire down to it..
my 96 Monte Carlo did that and it ended up being the chip on the key went bad and it was the switch shutting the fuel pump down for security reasons. call a locksmith....i did
check all the wires back to it to see if there is a loose wire or a frayed wire and if you don't see anything you probably need to replace the pump.
