On a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero, the knock sensor is located on the engine block. It may be bolted to the intake manifold, or to either side of the block.

In the 2000 Alero, it is fuse 34 in the engine fuse box, which is located near the battery. You can check the same fuse for the 1999 Alero and see if that is it.

The knock sensor is located on the backside of the engine to the left of the oil filter, it is round with a 1 wire plug on it and a round base. I do not know the torque spec, but when I replaced mine I made it tight enough not to back out on its own.

I'm not finding Torque converter sensor, are you sure you don't mean converter check valve or converter clutch solenoid? anyway, if you are looking for any of the shift Selenoid (1-2,3-4, or 2-3), or the TCC Selenoid, or the TWM Selenoid, or the Transmission Temp sensor, These are located inside the side cover on the transmission. On my 1999 grand Prix se this cover is located above the Transmission pan and drivers side....
