What year engine, Usually the throttle position sensor is located on the trottle body. This is the part that usually connects the big black air house from the air cleanerto the engine. It will have atleast two wires and usually two small screws holding the TPS on the trottle body where the linkage is connected to the trottle body or on the opposite side. Not sure this is a help but generally this info should help you find the TPS. Consider buying the book.
