very bottom of the xfer-case near the back. it is a large plug like 24mm or around that size
on the transaxle
Transfer case is lubricated by the transmission fluid.
Remove all wires attached to the transfer case. Remove the driveshafts. Drain the fluid out of the transfer case. Place a transmission jack under the transfer case. Unbolt the transfer case from the transmission. Unbolt the crossmember the transfer case rests on.
Transfer cases are not like Transmissions they don't have drain pans. They only have drain and fill plugs. Transfer cases do not have filters either.
80/90 weight gear oil
18mm
30mm
The one that fits.
You will see 2 plugs on transfer case, the lower is to drain, upper is to fill or check level
look at the transfer case, theres a fill hole and a drain hole both with bolts to take out. You can also search on youtube to see a vid.
I used it on the ruptured seam of a motorbike petrol tank a few years and its still holding. I dare say it'd work just as well if both surfaces are cleaned first. I used it to stop a leak in the transfer case to drive shaft on a 92 Eagle Talon.
It is on the rear side of the transfur case towards the bottom and up higher will be another one to fill it.
