Transfer case is lubricated by the Transmission Fluid.
Should be a plug at the bottom or rear of radiator
at the bottom of the sump
use a turkey baster to suck it out.
It's on the bottom right side of the radiator.

The 2002 Subaru air conditioning drain line can be found on the bottom of the air conditioner compressor. The air conditioning drain line routes condensation to the bottom of the engine compartment.

Disconnect motor mounts from block, drain pan, lift by balancer a few inches to clear pan. Front & rear crank seals are tricky. This is not a job for inexperienced.
Inside Transmission. Drain fluid & remove Oil Pan for access.....

Subaru fluid only from dealer. Cost is about $8.00 / qt and you need 4.5 for drain and refill or 14-16 to completely change it.
