1997 Saturn sc2 loction of transmission dipstick
ON my 1999 sl2 it is the transmission fluid dipstick
do a 99 Saturn sl2 have a transmission pan gasket
You don't "pour" it in. Saturn uses a "sealed" transmission, meaning that you don't check the fluid level using a dipstick. There is an access hole on the side of the transmission.
In the front of the motor by the transmission dipstick. This is where your spark plugs from the engine go.
there are no physical adjustments available for the Saturn automatic transmission.
if it is anything like my 97' Saturn Sl2. The engine must be dropped out to dismount the transmission.
It's called a "maintenance free" transmission. No dipstick.
It has none.
if its automatic, there is a dipstick just to the right of your oil dipstick. its red in color. you will need a funnel to get the fluid in. If its a Manual transmission. there is a dip stick in the far upper right hand corner, strait down in the accual case of the transmission.... you will need a longer funnel to fill this.
Dipstick and tube is located just to the right of the intake and airbox (air filter) just right of car center, it has a yellow handle, and right of oil dipstick in the middle of engine bay.
It is ATF
No dipstick; just an inspection hole on the side. Unscrew the plug and stick your finger in (a job best performed when the engine is off) to determine the current level of the lubricant. Lubricant SHOULD be even with the bottom of the hole.
