86 thru 89 does not have a dipstick. the oil is drained out by a nut on the bottom of your trans. us a 3/8 rachet it fits right in to remove the bolt. then to fill the trans you have to remove the bolt up above the axel and pump it in.
Standing in front of the motor, look to the left. Follow the spark plugs down and it's hidden beneath some wires and hoses. If you don't have a funnel it'll be really hard to get the tranny fluid in. Just a heads up. Good luck.

A 1986-89 5-Speed transmissions will interchange if Fuel injected you must change with fuel injected Transmission or use a cerebrated transmission with a special bushing to extend main shaft. Some flywheels may have to be changed to accept special bushing. I am currently doing the same thing I found a transmission for $275. with 125 thousand miles on it.
any engine will work with a little mod or alot of mods i wouldnt do it 86-89 honda accord should work
