This depends on whether you have a 3-speed transmission (1,2,D) or 4-speed (1,2,3,D) which is also referred to the Overdrive model. The three-speed transmission as a normal old-fashioned dipstick, and you fill the transmissionn through the dipstick tube. If you have the 4-speed transmission, there is a vent hose connected to a screw-in cover about an inch to an inch and a half in diameter on the top of the transmission, both of which you must remove and use a funnel to fill the transmission. How do you know it's full? The transmission has a fill-check plug like a manual transmission. You have to remove (unscrew) the plug, and while the car is sitting level and running, fill the transmission with fluid until it begins dribbling out of the hole. Once this happens, it's full, and you can replace the plug and the vent hose w/cap. If you have further questions, just contact your local AutoZone store.
