Automatic tranny dipstick located to the right of engine towards the windsield. it is set down a bit and is black. can be hard to see.
The transmission dip stick is located right next to the airfilter box... It has a yellow top and about 1/2 tube...
You remove the transmission dip stick. You will need a small funnel that will fit in the tube where the stick goes in at to check fluid level in transmission. Put fluid in there.
Its the transmission dip stick tube is how you add transmission fluid.
where is the dip stick at located in 1996 cadillac deville ?
I assume it is a stick-shift? The transmission will have a plug located on the side, where you can add fluid, if needed.
you should be able to just stick a funnel into the top of the dipstick (transmission) and add the fluid through there you cant just anwer that question assuming its a automatic... if its a 5 speed there is a fill plug in the front of the tranny
2001 Malibu's have a sealed transmission. They don't have a dip stick.
Where is the transmission dip stick located on a 2000 Ford Expedition and where do you insert the transmission fluid at?
Transmission fluid in found in the dipstick tube. Locate the transmission dip stick in your car. Use your manual to locate the dipstick if you can't see it.
The transmission fluid does not come out of the transmission dip stick. The transmission fluid is added through the dip stick area though. The exact specification on how to change transmission fluid will depend upon the exact vehicles and the owner's manual should be reviewed.
to add transmission fluid, pour it down the tube where the dip stick goes. Not the dip stick for the motor oil, but the transmission fluid. It is located by the fire wall under the hood. I use a funnel attached to a hose to stick in the tube, makes it a whole lot easier.
The only place I have found to add Transmission fluid is the dip stick for the transmission. on my 2000 it is located on the drivers side of the engine and has an orange handle. When you remove it the dipstick has the correct transmission fluid that you need to use stamped on it.
