There is no reservoir in the 1995 325 i, I own one, when they built the 1995 325 i, it has a "lifetime" fluid set up, which means, theres no dipstick, at all, I also wondered this soon after I bought mine, now, you can have it checked by a mechanic, they put it up on a rack, and check it that way, if your transmission is slipping, I suggest you take it to a mechanic, and have the fluid and filter changed, that's what I have to do.
I too own one, I've changed my own fluid not to bad of a job. The hardest part was getting the front gasket localy.
I bought a transmission filter kit which came with the rear gasket and filter. I also bought gasket making material. Out the door for less than $30.00. I then bought the fluid at Walmart. and I bought a Transmission Fluid pump from pepboys for $10.00 Grand total less than $60.00 for the whole job.
