No, it has an electronically controlled valve body, there is no modulator valve.
in the transmission valve body
That year transmission did not HAVE a modulator valve. That year used a 4L60E / And the E stands for electronic transmission. NO valve. It is all computer controled.
Starting with the 1995 model of Ford Explorer the automatic transmission was ELECTRONICALLY controlled , so there is no modulator valve
Locate transmission modulator 95 Buick
located right on front and top of transmission. Just below and to the left of the airfilter housing. Just follow the vacuum line from front top of intake, right down to transmission, driver side. Pretty easy to find really. Screw it out, screw new one in. Why do you want to replace the modulator valve? I believe this is a electronic shift transmission
NO it does not. The transmission is controlled by the computer.
If this transmission is equipped with a modulator valva it will be on the frontside of the transmission. Pointing towards the radiator. Its a round canister with a vacuum line plugged into it.
Starting with the 1995 model year of Ford Explorer the automatic transmissions were electronically controlled ( so as far as I know there is no modulator valve )

It is either screwed into the pressure line on the side of the transmission, or it is inside on the valve body.
