In the trunk on the left side - Really
I don't think so, but if you're trying to disable the switch from opening up the trunk from the inside (good idea BTW), you can adjust the switch from inside the trunk, right where the lock is, by adjusting the red lever where the trunk lock is.
how do i replace a trunk lock with another lock that has a key
Bad door lock actuator , trunk lock actuator or worn wires rubbing on metal/vehicle ground.
== == The lock solenoid switch is not working properly to retract the lock arm in the trunk.

The 1997 Cadillac trunk fuse location is dependent upon the type and model of the Cadillac. The trunk fuse will be in the fuse box. The location should be listed on the inside cover of the fuse box.

According to the 2008 Ford Focus Owner Guide : In the fuse panel below and to the left of the steering wheel , by the brake pedal ( it has a cover on it ) ( fuse # 17 is a 20 amp fuse for the Power Locks and Trunk Release )
On my 1992 190E I can lock the trunk with any of the keyed locks. If you lock the doors, the trunk locks and if you lock the trunk, the doors lock. In other words all the keyed locks are electrically interconnected. In reality the locks are not electrically interconnected. There is a pump in the right side wheel well of the trunk, it uses vacuum to lock all the locks and pressure to unlock them. Although the pump is powered electrically, the locks are not.
* Remove the trunk lid latch * Detach the lock release box from the latch assembly * To detach the lock cylinder from the trunk lid pry off the retainer
You have to open the trunk lid, under the lock on the inside you will find a screw, remove the screw and the lock retaining clip, pull the lock out. If you can not open the trunk lid, drill the lock center out, and you should be able to open with a screw driver.
