We have a 2005 Polaris Sportsman and have had virtually no problems with it. The previous owner is a good friend of mine, he bought it new and I know for a fact that he had no problems with the eight year old machine.
1998 the 10th charicter represents the year model W means 1998
Brett Favre did of course!
This year and model doesn't have a fuse box. MY 2003 Polaris Sportsman 600 twin has TWO breakers below the front center headlight, under the panel. They are inside black plastic pouches that are zip-tied to electric cables.
A person can contact Honda retailers that sell ATVs and they can direct one to where a part can be acquired. The Polaris Part House has a search function that can help direct you to stores that sell the part, as well. One must only know the part number or the year the part was manufactured.
VIN # is located on the frame. Left side under the footwell. eight number from the RIGHT is year. models from the 90's use letters, 2001-2009 use numbers, 2010 backs to letters. AB123456 would be a 2010.......2X123456 = 2002
The 10th digit is the year number. In this case you have a 7 which is a 2007.
