It uses the VSS signal.
Goes from the VSS to the ECM. Find the VSS, and you can trace it from there.
the vss wire is located as the purple/white wire above the radio, the harness plugging into the clock. tap into the purple/white wire for your aftermarket headunit vss wire.

The vehicle speed sensor (vss) should be located on the driver side on the front of the transmission close to the axle. Their should be an ear protruding out from the transmission, and the sensor will be to the right of it.
normally its the yellow/red wire. you can find it underthe hood in the wire harness right above your fan.
It attaches to VSS on tranny by where it meets driveshaft.
