The VW Transporter T5 2.5 oil filter is located at the front left hand side. If you look down the left hand side where the radiator is, you will see a black plastic container with a 36mm nut on the top. The cartridge is inside. This also applies to the 2.0 liter diesel and you will find a 36mm nut and a paper element filter on both engines
