You can find the water pump on the front of your 3.6 liter engine. You can follow the bottom radiator hose directly to the water pump.
Under the water neck, where the upper radiator hose to connected to the intake manifold on top of the engine.
In short, they dont have them as standard. You may have an aftermarket one fitted, which could be either a water circuit heater or diesel fuelled air heater, but nothing is guaranteed.
Tear the dash out. It may be clogged. Try applying water pressure to the hoses coming of your firewall.
It is located under the timing belt cover.
i have a 1998 trooper and i had to get a robe #2 screw driver and take off the outer housing of the socket and replace bulb and replace outer housing, be sure you put on gasketcorrectly or water will get into it.
The water pump is located behind the three timing belt covers. The timing belt drives the pump, so the timing belt will have to be removed/replaced when changing the water pump. To get in there, remove the three belts, the cooling fan and its mount, the crank pulley (you'll need a puller), and the coolant tube in front of the covers, then the covers can be removed.
The water pump is replaced as part of the timing belt package. Do it all at once or expect this to come up as a measure of competency in your mechanic
how do I remove the water pump from my 1990 Isuzu truck?
on the front of the water pump toward the driversidehas a 2 wire connector going to it
If you have an old ISUZU Trooper, the radiator thermostat may be not working. Therefore, it will not let cool water from the radiator into the hot engine, even if the radiator is full. Have the thermostat checked and replaced, if necessary. Good Luck
the reason why water may get into transmission is due to the cooler for the trans oil is located inside the coolant radiator.and so the coolant is at higher presuure than the trans oil and it passes through a crack in the cooler.best option is to replace radiator and flush transmission many times with clean oil.afte this you may have slippage problem twith trans due to water still contaminated in trans.
you have a leaking heater core. Try bars stop leak. Otherwise, its a huge job that took me about $400 and 25 hrs of labor. You have to remove almost the whole front interior and dash assy. Good luck.
