On my 1992 Geo Metro hatchback, the windshield wiper switch is on the right hand side of the steering column, opposite the turn signal switch. Please be advised that this switch handle breaks off very easily and you have to buy the whole combo switch (turn signal, flasher switch and wiper switch).
Yes, there is a windshield wiper relay on a 1992 Chevy Lumina. The windshield wiper relay is located in the underhood fuse panel.
read the instructions that came with the new wiper blades
Have you checked to make sure the fuse is good?
its connected to the windshield washer jug
It's possible that the wiper switch is bad, but most likely it's the wiper motor itself. Wiper motors have an internal switch that only turns off when both the manual switch is turned off AND the wiper blade is in the park position. If the wiper motor cannot sense that it has hit the park position, it will run continuously.
motor is working but wiper blades do not move.
Most likely it's the motor assembly. There is an internal switch that keeps the motor running until the wiper blades are in the "park" position. If the internal switch fails, the wiper will continue to run or will turn off wherever the blades are when you turn off the wipers. Either can happen when the wiper internal switch fails.
it is only the drivers side wiper that is having the problem it works randomly but does not go all the way across the windshiled when it does work. The passenger side windshield wiper works fine.
In the switch
switch them on
are you serious... life blade off windshield, unclip plastic fastener off the center of the wiper arm, remove wiper, replace in reverse order.
there is a cover behind the switch stalk clip off then you will see the plug from the wiper switch stalk unplug then to remove switch turn switch and pull out stalk switch
