I have a 1993 Dakota with a 5.2L and just changed the thermostat. Probably in the same place as your 92. Follow the upper radiator hose towards the engine. The thermostat is below the housing at the end of the hose. It is tucked in behind the alternator but with a long extension on your ratchet you can get at the two bolts that hold down the thermostat housing. Goodluck.
Where the lower hose goes on the engine, it is under that housing.
It is under the housing that the lower rad hose hooks to.
behind the thermostat housing,two wires
The thermostat on a 4.7L is located where the lower radiator hose hooks the engine. The thermostat is located under the housing where the lower radiator hose hooks to the block.
Follow the lower radiator hose to the engine, it is there.
On the 3.7L and 4.7L the thermostat is under the housing where the lower radiator hose hooks to the engine.
You can find the 1991 Dodge Shadow thermostat in the thermostat housing. The thermostat housing will be on the front of the engine.
Next to the thermostat housing, under and behind the alternator.
It is just to the passenger side of the thermostat housing.
It is next to the thermostat housing on top of the engine.
The thermostat on a 3.7 or 4.7 is under the housing where the lower radiator hose attaches to the engine. All other Dakota engines it is under the housing where the upper radiator hose attaches.
The thermostat on a 3.7L V6 is under the housing where the lower radiator hose attaches to the engine.
