I will assume you are speaking of an automatic transmission. Near the back of the engine block behind the air cleaner on the passanger side is a dip stick for checking the Transmission Fluid level (Always check with the engine running and in park) The dip stick tube is also where you fill the transmission with fluid. Use a long funnel which you can purchase at your local parts store and a rag. It is best to fill the transmission once the car is warmed up. Again have the engine running and transmission in park. Fill slowly and check the level with the dip stick until the fluid reaches the marks on the dip stick. When removing the funnel you may drip some fluid on the exhaust. This is why you want to make sure the funnel is slowly removed and use the rag to cover the bottom of the funnel when you pull it from the tube.
