The hazard flasher is in the fuse box by the driver's left knee. There's a panel right underneath the steering wheel. It's the round, silver cylinder.
Check fuse and turn signal flasher relay.
I believe the hazard flasher switch is in the instrument panel by the radio
most likely would be a bad turn signal flasher
Replacement flashers are known to be lighter weight than the original. Installing a heavy duty flasher should solve the problem.

The turn signal and emergency flashers are on a bracket together under the dash right about where the gas pedal is. The bracket can be lowered by putting a screwdriver into the clip and releasing the little catch. Remove the little cover over both flasher relays. The larger flasher is the turn signal (my 98 flasher was blue) and the smaller is the emergency flasher. I found mine by turning on the flashers and just following the clicking sound. The speedo fuse is the second from the left top. The top being the opposite end the the signal flasher. However it is the same fuse as the dome light, cargo light and radio memory. So if they work the fuse is ok. CT
When you are looking at the fuse box with the directional flasher at the bottom left, the blower fuse is right above the flasher unit. It should be a 30 amp fuse.
