It is on the outside of the battery bolted to the right fender

The vapor canister is mounted on the firewall of the Honda Civic. The MAF sensor will be mounted directly to the let of it.
Not very likely sounds more like either an "electrical" or 'vapor lock in the fuel problem'
On the passenger side firewall....its a small black cylinder with three spots for hoses on top and one on the bottom
The Vapor Canister is located under the battery box.
On one side (the front) is a vapor cannister and on the rear there is a power brake abs unit and a rear suspension air pump.

i think its in the back around the gas tank. it should be attached to the vapor cannister On my 1997 Grand Caravan 3.0L, its located underneath the steering gear just a little ahead of where the driver sits. Its above a panel and held in by four bolts.
