RVD never suffered a concussion at the hands of RKO. That was a storyline created by the writers when RVD left WWE after the not resigning with the company. He was arrested for possession while him and Sabu we're driving shortly after he beat Cena for the WWE title. This caused WWE management to lose faith in him and bury his character. He is now at home enjoying his time off. WWE has no plans for bringing him back at this point.
