Normally this is located inside the valve body of the transmission, the valve body is located inside the case & pan.
Shift solenoids are located inside the automatic transmission, accessable via a side cover plate.
Inside tranny
It is mounted on the top of the starter. Just follow the positive cable from the battery and it will be bolted to the selonoid.
A faulty vehicle speed sensor.
P0745 Is a trouble code for malfunctioning shift selonoid. But be careful as it may not be the selonoid at all. There is a problem with these transmission breaking the band for 3rd. It should be on the starter itself or if remote between battery (positive) & starter. Just follow the cable.
The Red line is the Vacumme line the comes from the drivers side of the intake to the EGR selonoid (at the top) the Green line goes from the EGR selonoid directly to the EGR valve (at the bottom of the Selonoid).
try checking the starter selonoid connections from the negative battery cable.it's located just below radiator fansitting on top of starter.betcha that solves the problem.may have to replace selonoid switch but inexpensive fix ...good luck

On most of the newer transmissions a electric selonoid is what engages and disengages overdrive and if you havent noticed there is a button on the end of the shift lever on the steering column also there is a fuse have you checked to see if it is blown.
The shift solenoids are all located on valve body assy.
