Your distributor may or may not be in it's factory position. If you're not sure, take off your distributor cap, and have someone crank the engine for just a second while you plug the number one cylinder spark plug hole with your finger. (cylinder one should be first one on driver's side). As you feel your finger being pushed off by pressure, note the position of the rotor and relate that to the cap, and you will have your #1 cap position. From there, follow your firing order, and if I'm correct your cylinder's should be numbered : driver's side from front 1,3,5,7.
any solid core plug wire should work
Get the wire and plug it all in plug. The plug should be looking like a USB and should go in the USB.
On the Chevy V8 it is on the front of the engine driver's side. On a inline 6 cylinder it is the plug on the front of the engine. On the V6 it is the front plug on the passenger side.
The green wire is for ground. You can attach that to any metal part of the frame. The red is the active and coincides with the lefthand prong into the plug and the black in this case should be the Neutral and ciocides with the right prong into the plug as seen standing behind the plug.
The plug (cap) should be replaced. They can be obtained at any DIY store. Cut the old end off and prepare the wire for the new plug (cap). White wire to silver coloured screw, black wire to gold coloured screw and green wire to green coloured screw.
2.5L Take a look at the distributor cap. It should have a "1" on it. That goes to the front of the engine. The rotor turns clockwise when looking at it from the front. The next wire is going to be 3. Plug that wire into the 3rd plug from the front. The next one is 2. Plug that wire into the 2nd plug. The final one is 4. Plug that into the furthest plug.
That is potentially dangerous and should never be done. See an electrician about this problem.
Should be written on intake manifold.
Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. Use some heavy gloves or a set of insulated pliers to hold the spark plug wire about 1/4-inch from the engine block (ground) and crank the engine - you should see a spark jump from the wire to the engine ground. For a better check, use another spark plug and put it on the spark plug wire and use it as a "jumper" from the wire to the engine ground.

The range 4 wire plug kit should have with it a grounding lug that connects to the frame of the stove. If not buy a small #2 lug and bolt it to the frame of the stove. This is the attachment point for the fourth green ground wire from the new range cord assembly.
Spark plug wire not connected to spark plug? Spark plug wire connected to Wrong spark plug? Vacuum line disconnected? Bad spark plug or wire?
