the lock up solenoid is located in the transmission pan, right next to thefiller tube. you will see an electrical connector right next to the filler tube. that is the connector to the lock up solenoid.
No such part. The governor solenoid and od/lock up solenoids are on the valve body inside the trans.
That would be a problem with the solenoid for the lock up converter. Start with checking the fuses. If the fuses check okay the lock up solenoid or wiring circuit is probably bad. That solenoid is located inside the transmission and can be reached by dropping the trans pan.
need to know where the shift solenoid is on a 96 Chevy lumina is located so that i can switch out the part. the one that i bought is a shift and lock solenoid, so where is that at on the transmission?
how do you repair a circuit solenoid lock up on a Renault scenic automatic transmission
the solenoid is located on the bottom of the transmission. You have to drop the trans pan and it will the the one on the driverside closest to the t/converter.

It is inside the shifter.
The actuator is located on the front axle.
The automatic has one for the lock up torque converter
This is the plug and not the switch....The switch inself is located within the transmission. > If the car has a 3spd automatic (TH125) Look on the front (closest to the radiator) driver side of the tranny for a 4 prong plug...this is the TCC plug.... Unplug it and drive the car. If the problem goes away, then you can replace the solenoid or drive it with it unplugged...it WON'T HURT THE TRANNY!! You will suffer on mileage though.
Lock up Solenoid? It is located in the transmission. Remove front left tire, remove access cover on tranny (yes the whole side cover) and it is right there. One screw, and two wires. Un screw, snip wires, connect new solenoid and put in place, replace cover ( make sure you buy a new gasket as well. Any questions mouse_613@hotmail.com Put Solenoid in the subject line.
