The 944 cooling system is a closed system. There is no radiator cap. Coolant should be added to the cloudy plastic overflow tank in the engine bay on the drivers side. With the car cool, add coolant until the tank is full. Start the engine, and continue adding coolant until maintains the level at the full line. When the system is full, close the cap. There is a bleeder screw (8mm head?) on the coolant outlet on the front of the head of the engine. It is near the distributor, at the highest point of the engine. Loosen the screw (it is actually a banjo bolt) a few turns to let out as much air as possible. Tighten it when only coolant comes out. You are done!
how to add coolant to 1991 lumina?
The overflow resavour is where you add coolant
You add coolant to a C240 at the radiator overflow tank. This allows the radiator to suck in coolant as needed when hot.
no cap, just the coolant tank, add to this to add coolant../
You should not mix colors or brands of coolant.
The coolant add/overfill jug is on the left side of the motor when your looking at it. Add coolant up the closest line towards the top, and only when the engine is cold.
Add coolant to the full cold line on the coolant reservoir when engine is cold.
you add coolant untill it is full ?
Radiator. Remove the cap and add coolant there.
You should add coolant with the engine off and cool, top off the radiator and fill the coolant reservoir to the cool or cold level. When the system is hot or running it will be pressurized and will be dangerous to open. You can however add coolant to the overflow reservoir at any time.
Add it in the overflow tank up to the max line.
There is no such thing as Air Conditioning coolant.
