I have a 2000 Honda Passport that is just about to be fitted with a 1999 transmission, I will let you know soon..er..or later!
Pull the tranny fluid dipstick out, and pour it down that tube with a funnel. who ever is answering this question about 1999 Honda passport needs to go back the school! duma$$ Well. That would be all fine and dandy if there were a transmission fluid dipstick in the engine compartment of a 1999 Honda Passport. Tell me where it is.

It doesnt have one like many cars and trucks. Its a completely sealed transmission.
There is no dip stick you must remove the upper plug by the drain.
The engine oil capacity, of your 1999 Honda Passport, is for quarts. The manufacturer recommends; you do not over fill the motor oil.
