the OBD1 connector is on the passenger side behind the kick panel. Its most likely bright orange.
The diagnostics terminal for the jumper wire is under the hood mounted to the drivers side wheel well. Jump tabs E1 and TE1 with a wire to make the check engine light flash the codes. Ex. a code 21 is two flashes followed by a pause and then one flash.
Reading diagnostic codes is easy. The driver plugs the reader/scanner into the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and the scanner/reader will give a code if there is a problem, and tell them the type of problem.
The diagnostic code should go off when the issue is fixed. You can try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. Also, it can be reset through a code reader.
It's a box under your hood labeled diagnostic.
It is under the dash on the driver side.
You need a scan tool or code reader to get the codes.
