The jack that came with the Explorer is placed under the rear axle " tube "
between the bolts for the bracket on the rear leaf spring ( according to the
picture in the Owner Guide )
I goes under the passenger side back seat.
It should be the same as my 1995 Ford Explorer , there is a " hook " on the front of both lower control arms
Using the factory jack : On the front there is a hook on the front of the lower control arms On the back place the jack under the axle tube below the leaf spring
There should be a jack in the compartment behind the back seat.
In the cargo area of your Ford Explorer , on the drivers side , there is a removable plastic panel that covers the rear windshield washer fluid container , your wheel jack etc. , the lug wrench is held in place by some clips on the back of the removable plastic panel
under the car
On a 2000 Ford Explorer : The jack is stored in the cargo area , behind the removable plastic panel on the drivers side , near the liftgate Lower the jack down and then raise the jack by hand so the top of the jack is held securely by the vehicle bracket
On a 1996 Ford Explorer : The vehicle jack is supposed to be behind the removable plastic panel , on the drivers side of the cargo area , near the liftgate
The tire jack is supposed to be under the carpeted lid in the floor of the cargo area along with a bag including the tools on a 2008 Ford Explorer
In the cargo area , on the drivers side , behind the removable plastic panel where the tire jack is stored . There are clips on the back side of the panel which hold the tire iron in place
It's supposed to be under the carpeted lid in the cargo area behind the back seat , and the lug wrench etc. is in a bag attached to the jack
