Where was Barack Obama's home state?

He has had several home states. He was born in Hawaii, and except for four years away in Indonesia with his mom and step-dad, he lived in Honolulu, Hawaii throughout his high school years. He later moved to New York City, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and then to Chicago, Illinois; and it is in Chicago where he spent much of his work life, got married, entered politics, etc. So, he probably considers Illinois his home state these days.
