As our climate is always changing, a large change appeared in the North Atlantic (referred to as the Medieval Warm Period, etals) during the end of the 9th century to nearly the end of the 13th century. During this timeframe, exploration and conquests, especially by the Vikings took place in the Isles, Europe, Turkey and North America. Then there was another large change from the 15 thru 19th centuries referred to as 'The Little Ice Age.'
