We are not told where Thomas was at this time.
A:In Matthew's Gospel, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary discovered that the body of Jesus was missing from his tomb. We are not told who the other Mary was. In Mark's Gospel, there were three women who went to the tomb and discovered that the body of Jesus was missing: Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome. In Luke's Gospel, we do not know how many women went to the tomb and discovered that the body of Jesus was missing. They were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and other women. In John's Gospel, only Mary Magdalene went to the tomb but ran back when she saw the stone had been moved, leavng it to the 'disciple whom Jesus loved' and Peter to discover that the tomb was empty. AnswerThe synoptic gospels say that no one of Jesus'acquaintance was at the crucifixion, and that Mary and others watched from afar off. Since no one of Jesus' acquaintance was at the crucifixion, neither Thomas nor Mary could have been. On the other hand, John's Gospel says that Mary and the 'disciple whom Jesus loved' were at the foot of the cross when Jesus was crucified. We do not know who the disciple was, but the second-century Church Fathers believed him to be the apostle John, a tradition that has followed ever since. The 'disciple whom Jesus loved' is in any case unlikely to be Thomas, because Elaine Pagels detects a thread of anti-Thomas rhetoric throughout John's Gospel, making it unlikely that the author would use this phrase when speaking of Thomas. So, in John's Gospel, Mary was at the crucifixion with an unnamed disciple who is most unlikely to have been Thomas.
According to me: Jesus, after resurrection is only an image like God. There is no visible form itself. But he can display himself to others whom he like. When he was asking Thomas to touch, again he formed to visible image, but Thomas not touched him. Like every appearance, he was making display to others. He is there, but we cannot see with naked eyes today. If he likes to show, then he can.
Naturally they were scared , but John was there with Mary and the others.
Mary was Jesus' mother.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, was accompanied by Mary Magdalene and Mary, the wife of Clopas, at the crucifixion of Jesus.
A:The gospels agree that Jesus was crucified with two others, apparently thieves. Apart from Jesus and the two others, there were soldiers and perhaps the throng who came for entertainment. In the synoptic gospels, no one whom Jesus knew had come to the crucifixion, but his mother Mary and others of his acquaintance stood afar off. In John's Gospel, Mary is at the cross, joined by the 'disciple whom Jesus loved' and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas and Mary Magdalene. A late second-century tradition is that he beloved disciple was John, son of Zeberdee.
