Rome, Italy has many ancient Roman ruins. The Romans however left their mark on many of the nations they conquered and/or made them part of the Roman State. Excellently well preserved ruins can be found in Spain, Libya, Croatia, Jordan, Israel, Turkey, Portugal, Tunisia and France.

D. Hunting baths with well preserved mosaics

A. Huge Amphitheater with subterranean galleries

B. The amphitheater was used for gladiator fights.
